We are not Golfers so would not usually choose this type of Hotel It's proximity to Norwich was essential. The hotel is spacious over 200 rooms ,situated in parkland. It has a well appointed Spa and the breakfast and dining facilities are good ,the restaurant staff delightful. Not easy to obtain Dinner without pre-booking beforehand because of Covid restrictions on space ,restaurant is table service for all meals -wonderful. Plenty of restaurants of all sorts nearby .Close to Wroxham on the Broads so a' holiday vibe'. Be aware that the pressures on the Hotel and Leisure sector are immense-support the staff .
We stay at a lot of Hotels many of a very high standard and this Hotel performed well in the circumstances. Weddings still took place and families met at half term. Covid precautions are clearly marked .Junior suite competitively priced. Very large two tele's and view of the garden. Bathroom with Bath and integrated shower clean and well decorated. Very polite and helpful manager. I could not praise him more. After a brief discussion which could have been more harmonious as we arrived after a long journey and for reasons above had to order in food which could not get to us. Rested we began to see how difficult is was for him and his staff to keep a very large number of customers happy under Covid restrictions. In the circumstances the few dealings I saw him manage and I there were many were polite and thoughtful, not engratiating ,well judged.-I was a difficult customer the night we arrived tired and hungry. Praise also to the jolly restaurant assistant? manager who processed the Q. along when she heard we had to leave fairly soon. She was friendly and thoughtful-true Norfolk lass -probably from elsewhere but with the kindness you often find in folk these parts or wherever she came from!
Covid restrictions. Be aware in such a large Hotel you cannot access facilities, Dining or the Spa immediately-you have to book, pre-book before leaving home for Dinner .In busy times queuing for breakfast is tedious and you might not want to mix with so many people.15 mins in one place is recommended if you are worried about Covid. You might wish to choose a smaller establishment ,the facilities are worth the waits. Lifts are small for wheelchair users they will have ground floor rooms one partially person had chosen the 2nd floor or had it chosen for he ,she was with her family and in Covid times you might insist on a ground floor room. Otherwise take the stairs.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. Room and bathroom are very spacious, the bed was also very good. Breakfast for an English hotel is also very good. I felt very comfortable.
There's nothing wrong with the hotel. But if you want to visit the city (in any case recommendable, I had underestimated Norwich in advance), and you are without a car, you always have to take a taxi (a one-way trip costs 10 BP).

The breakfast here was substantial and caters well to non-meat eaters, really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and they even offered complimentary wake-up calls, which was a nice touch.

I have stayed before two years or so before bur regret the standard has declined since then
Too few staff. At breakfast I expect that there are several staff offering tea/coffee etc.and serving same but this time there were none and you were left to use machines. The cooked items were not as hot as they should have been At dinner the menu was narrow and with few choices. The food quality was poor and I had to send one main course back. I gained the impression that the food was pre cooked and warmed up to order, The Hotel is tired and due for refurbishment. I have stayed at Marriott Hotels in recent years from Vancouver, London, Durham, Sprowston etc and was disappointed with the latter.
